TL;DR
Reviews vary a lot: some hotels have poor food (only chicken, stewed beef, bland desserts, 30-min queues at the grill), others offer varied, tasty buffets (made-to-order omelets, seafood, plenty of fruit). You won't go hungry anywhere, but quality differs greatly by hotel.
One hotel near Side got a food rating of '4-': meat and fish are available but repeat daily, the grill has only 2-3 dishes. Fruit selection is limited (watermelon, sometimes melon, apples, bananas, plums). Seafood (shrimp, tongue fish, rolls) appears rarely with huge queues — go 30 minutes before the restaurant closes to still catch some. Good coffee only at the lobby bar; imported alcohol is unlimited.
At Nova Life Hotel (Konaklı, Alanya), food is called the strongest point of the hotel — available 24/7, with a night soup station and a pastry shop with good coffee. Omelets are cooked to order, meat and fish served daily, seafood (salmon, shrimp, mussels, crayfish) added since mid-June. No fresh juice — only packaged.
At Nova Life Hotel, the a la carte restaurant on the pier is rated noticeably lower than the main buffet — guests describe it as '3 out of 5' and complain the seafood is overcooked there. The main buffet, on the other hand, gets praise from most reviewers.
At another hotel, food was described as very modest for a 5-star property: only chicken, a couple of stewed beef options, and bland desserts. The outdoor grill station has constant queues — expect to wait around 30 minutes. At the Turkish a la carte restaurant, only the hot main course was enjoyable; the rest was underwhelming. The beach snack bar was the better option for lunch instead of the main restaurant.
At the same hotel, fruit selection was mostly bananas, watermelon, orange, apricots, peaches, apples, and occasionally cherries — though those ran out fast. The Turkish coffee at the lobby bar was praised as the best thing about the food offering.
