Is it too hot to walk around Abu Dhabi in summer, and what time of day is best for sightseeing?

One traveler reported that going out after 7 PM was comfortable enough for a family with a kid on a scooter, even in summer.

If traveling from October onward, the waterfront corniche area is comfortable for walking, with souvenir shops, a small museum, a pharmacy, and a restaurant.

In summer even the beach stays very hot in the evening, so walking tours aren't recommended during this season — better to save active sightseeing for cooler months.

For a short summer layover, due to the intense heat it's best to limit sightseeing to a visit to Sheikh Zayed Mosque — other activities like walking the corniche are already too hot by 8 AM.
