How much passport validity do I need to enter or transit through Dubai?

TL;DR

Travelers report that a passport should have at least three months’ validity remaining for travel via Dubai. The airline may check this at the departure airport and refuse boarding before you reach the UAE.

For travel through Dubai, plan on having at least three months of passport validity remaining. If the validity is shorter, the issue may arise before departure.

Document checks may be carried out by the airline at the departure airport, not only by Dubai immigration. Do not rely on being able to sort it out after arrival.

Even on an Yerevan–Dubai–Maldives connection without leaving the airport, check passport validity with the airline in advance: boarding may be denied in Yerevan.
