Which hotels in Dubai have their own private beach — and are they worth it?

Hilton in Dubai Marina has its own beach loungers, with roughly 30 metres between the pool area and the sea. This can be particularly convenient in hot weather compared with walking to a public beach.

Le Méridien and Grosvenor House (the two towers) are mentioned as having a private beach with loungers. The beach facilities reportedly include a pool, café, ice cream and alcoholic drinks.

The beach is now fully open, and the cabana area (shaded loungers with curtains) is provided free of charge. A children's pool is also operating on the property.

On one side of the hotel, beach clubs line the coastline with no promenade area. On the other side, the public Mercato Beach opened this year and is reportedly a decent option.

Downside of the beach: if seated in the front row of loungers, showers to rinse off salt are far away — you need to walk back to the beach entrance. Restrooms are also inconveniently placed, the closest one found near the Peoples restaurant/snack bar.

There's construction next door to the beach, but it doesn't actually interfere — the beach is fairly large. The deluxe room category is the closest to the construction site.

Only 5 hotels in Dubai have their own private beach, and one of them is currently closed. All other hotels are located in urban areas without direct beach access.

One hotel beach recently reopened after renovation and is accessible to outside guests for a fee, but entry is restricted to families and women only.

Beach cabanas with curtains provide good shade and are the most comfortable option, as shaded areas on the property are otherwise limited.

Soluna Beach Club is best avoided — the water has an unpleasant smell and the overall comfort level is very poor.

One hotel receives praise for its all-inclusive food, but its location relative to the sea is inconvenient, and the beach can be littered with debris washed ashore, especially in the mornings.

At JBR Beach, the only paid shower facility is currently closed, and no working alternatives were found at the time of inquiry.
