Is Sharjah City Centre worth visiting for shopping, and what should you know before you go?

TL;DR

A recent report found limited choice and no discounts at one discussed shop, while the City Centre branch was preferred. Malls have exchange counters, but a foreign card may occasionally fail at Carrefour Sharjah City Centre.

What the community said

In early October, a visitor found neither appealing items nor discounts at the discussed shop. New stock was expected but had no announced date, and they preferred the City Centre branch for shopping.

After shopping, you can walk to the Al Majaz waterfront: use 18th or 28th Street between the villas toward the mosque, cross at the nearby signalized pedestrian crossing, continue between the shops, then pass the next mosque on its right to reach the towers by the waterfront.

Shopping malls have currency-exchange counters. However, a foreign bank card that normally worked without issues failed once at Carrefour in Sharjah City Centre, so carry a backup payment method.
