You can reach Ba Na Hills from Da Nang independently by Bus No. 3 for about 30,000 VND, or by taxi, motorbike taxi, or your own scooter. The lower area is free, while the cable car ticket to the upper park costs around 1,000,000 VND and can be bought on site.

If you do not want a tour, you can also get there by taxi, motorbike taxi, or even a small scooter, including a 50cc bike, as the road is manageable and not too steep. There is free guarded parking for motorbikes on the right side across from the entrance.

The lower part of Ba Na Hills is free to visit: you can walk around the landscaped park, ponds, a small temple, cafés, and souvenir shops. You only need a ticket if you go up by cable car to the upper area.

A ticket to the upper park with cable car access costs about 1,000,000 VND. Travelers recommend buying the basic non-meal ticket, since there are plenty of food options on top and eating separately is usually cheaper.

Tickets can be bought directly on site: travelers report little to no queue, with ticket counters located to the right of the entrance. This makes it easy to check the weather below first and then decide whether to go up.

For the upper area, it is best to arrive at opening time, around 8:00 AM, otherwise queues build up at the cable cars and at the Golden Bridge. It is also smart to head back down before about 6:00 PM, though you should confirm the latest schedule on site.

If you want to see the Golden Bridge without rushing, consider splitting the visit into 2 days: use a partial day for the free lower area, then dedicate a full day to the upper park. This is especially useful because mountain weather can change quickly.

There are several cable car lines on site: travelers suggest the left line if you want to reach the Golden Bridge first, while the middle line offers better views including a waterfall. For the return trip, the right or middle line may be more convenient because they can run without a transfer.
