Which eSIM works in both Vietnam and Thailand, and can I still receive SMS and calls on my home SIM while traveling?

TL;DR

For Da Nang and onward travel to Thailand, choose a Southeast Asia regional eSIM on Trip.com and select both countries. Keep your home SIM active on roaming to receive incoming SMS and calls.

For one eSIM covering both Da Nang and Thailand, use a Southeast Asia plan on Trip.com and confirm that Vietnam and Thailand are included in its coverage list.

Trip.com lets travelers filter eSIM plans by covered countries. For a Da Nang–Thailand itinerary, select a plan listing both Vietnam and Thailand rather than a Vietnam-only package.

You can keep a Russian physical SIM enabled while using the eSIM for data: incoming calls and SMS can arrive through roaming. Check your mobile operator’s roaming terms before departure.
