TL;DR
Work experience is commonly documented with a certified copy of the full employment record book or a letter on a former employer’s letterhead. Have the documents translated into Vietnamese and notarized, and confirm the legalization route with a notary or Vietnamese consular office.
For a work permit, a consular-certified copy of the complete employment record book may be used. If there is no employment record book, provide a letter from the employer on company letterhead.
An extract from the employment record book can be issued on the employer’s letterhead with the first page and relevant stamped entries, rather than as a plain photocopy. It should then be translated and notarized.
If using an employment-confirmation letter, it should state the number of years of experience. For Vietnam, the letter is recommended to be translated into Vietnamese and notarized; arranging the translation through the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow is also suggested.
