Is a 2h40m layover enough for a connecting domestic flight at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport (e.g. to Da Nang)?

For an inter-terminal transfer at Noi Bai, a taxi can take about 5 minutes, avoiding a wait for the shuttle and the need to haul luggage. One traveler found the domestic-flight queue to be short.

On a Hanoi layover, luggage isn't always automatically transferred to the domestic flight — sometimes you're just pointed toward baggage claim to carry it yourself, depending on the airlines involved (e.g. arriving on Cathay Pacific, departing on Vietnam Airlines).
