Is it safe to travel from Hanoi to Ninh Binh during flooding, and which attractions may be closed?

At the time of the update, Hanoi had no flooding and the weather was reported as good. Google Maps can be used for a quick route check: flooded areas had appeared there earlier but were no longer visible.

Travel to Ninh Binh was possible: it was dry there on the same day. However, dry conditions in the area do not guarantee that all water-based activities are operating.

Cave swimming or boat excursions in Ninh Binh had been cancelled due to flooding. Before travelling, check the status of cave water routes directly with the relevant operator.
