Are there cockroaches and rats in Nha Trang, Vietnam?

Cockroaches are common outdoors but much rarer indoors (cafes, hotels). One traveler even spotted one in a 20th-floor hotel pool and at the Skylight restaurant on a high floor.

Rats can appear on your very first evening walk. Cockroaches turn up less often — one traveler saw one on the promenade in the evening and another in a hotel pool the next morning. Advice: stay calm about it or the whole trip becomes stressful.

A traveler who's visited Nha Trang 9 times and stayed in different hotels each time never once saw a cockroach in a room — indoors in hotels, the problem is basically nonexistent.
