Are there jellyfish or fish bites at Nha Trang beaches (Bai Dai/Cam Ranh area)?

On the central part of the beach there are almost no sea urchins or rocks. However, jellyfish do appear on the northern part of the beach — a recent sting happened there.

During a 12-day August trip, the beach was clean on arrival but was covered by the time of departure (likely with jellyfish washed ashore).

Over two trips within a year, no one was bitten while lying on loungers; swam mostly wearing water shoes for coral protection.

Rumors about bites are unfounded — no bites even lying on a towel at the shoreline. Occasional stings happen only in deep water, not close to shore.

After a week on paid loungers at Cam Ranh beach, no bites or thefts occurred. The water is murkier than the central beach but wave-free, good for paddleboarding and diving.

The public beach in the Cam Ranh area is considered the cleanest in terms of sea and sand among Nha Trang beaches.
