How do I set visa validity dates in the Vietnam online visa application when the form will not accept a start date in the future?

TL;DR
Enter your actual arrival date, but the Vietnam visa form may only accept today as the visa start date. If it rejects a future date, apply on the day of entry or try setting the validity period to 45 days from arrival.
For a 90-day stay, check the end date carefully: an arrival on 11 August 2026 was estimated to run until 8 November 2026. Leave a one-day buffer and verify the day count before submitting.
If the visa-start field will not let you select the next day, use today’s date or submit the application on the day you need the visa to begin.
Use your real arrival date in Vietnam at the beginning of the application. However, the lower validity-start field may only accept the current date, which can prevent applying in advance.
If the application requires an end date, try a date 45 days after arrival. In some cases, the form automatically fills the validity period as “arrival date + 45 days.”
