Is an online arrival declaration required before entering Vietnam?

The latest reports say the electronic declaration is no longer merely a trial: Vietnamese authorities require it for entry. Complete it before arriving rather than waiting at the airport.

Save the QR code on your phone or print it after submitting the form. Travelers report that immigration can see the record in its system, which may make passport control quicker and reduce follow-up questions.

Do not rely on older information that described the system as a test. Rules can change, and travelers may be sent to complete the online form before immigration processing continues.
