Is Nha Trang good for shopping — clothes, shoes, and cosmetics?

Chợ Đầm market has clothing and souvenirs, but bargaining is recommended: start at roughly one-third of the asking price and aim to settle around half. Good-quality T-shirts have been found for about 300 RUB.

Near the Lotus area, clothing shops and souvenir stalls are concentrated on the second and third street lines from the traffic-light intersection.

For clothes and luggage, go to Chợ Đầm market. Xóm Mới market is focused only on groceries.

Nha Trang is not a serious shopping destination compared to cities like Dubai or Bangkok. Quality hair care products, decent footwear, and clothing in larger European sizes are very hard to find. It's better to bring essentials from home.

Clothing in local shops and markets is sized for petite frames. Tall or larger-sized men will struggle to find trousers that fit — sizes are very small by Western standards.

If you're looking for a quality Vietnamese-style qipao (ao dai with trousers) for women, skip the local markets in Nha Trang — the quality is poor. Look for dedicated tailors or clothing boutiques in the city instead.
