Where the code is actually checked: in August 2026 participants wrote that it was not being requested on arrival in Vietnam, but airline staff may ask for it at check-in in the departure country. In September 2026 a family of four with one shared code confirmed this: they were asked to show the QR at check-in, and there were no further questions.

When all family members are listed on the arrival form, the system sends one QR code for the group rather than one per person. In July 2026 a travel agent who arranged the code for a couple said this is how it should be, and in August participants confirmed: 'one for everyone'. In September 2026 a family of four also travelled with a single shared code.
