Markets are usually better value for fish, prawns and other seafood. Supermarket prices may only match them during promotions, although supermarkets have a wider choice of bread and baguettes.

The shop downstairs to the right of the Aquamarine reception has a large selection of drinks, including several shelves of beer and rum, plus good fruit. However, waterfront shops may have lower prices for drinks and fruit.

For lower-cost grocery shopping, try the Vinh Hai area. It is less touristy and is recommended for inexpensive fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and prawns.
