TL;DR
For fresh fruit, look for evening vendors around Nha Trang Night Market, in the lanes behind it, or near Muong Thanh rather than at the beach. Cham Market behind the Night Market and Cho Dam Market are additional options.
The lanes behind the Night Market, on the second street back from the seafront, are an option for buying fruit in the evening. Most stalls close around 10 pm, sometimes 11 pm, while some shut as early as 8 pm.
Besides the Night Market, try Cham Market directly behind it or Cho Dam Market. There are also regular shops along the first beachfront street in the tourist area.
At the Night Market, use the street on the left when facing away from the sea; market stalls are still operating there.
Avoid buying fruit right by the beach. Look for vendors near the Night Market, especially those who set up later in the afternoon or evening. Check the fruit’s appearance and smell, and choose pieces from the lower baskets rather than the display layer on top.
In the evening, several street vendors usually operate around the Night Market and near Muong Thanh, making it easier to compare selection and freshness before buying.
