A local dollar-store style shop in Gold Coast: in July 2026 a participant recommended a shop on the 4th floor of the Gold Coast mall, which in her words has a lot of different items. She could not recall the exact name — only that it starts with the letter "M". The easiest way to find it is to go up to the 4th floor.

The Mr DIY chain: in mid-July 2026 it was recommended in reply to a search for budget shops for everyday small goods. There are stores in the Gold Coast and Vincom malls — specifically the Vincom on the third line from the beach. The participant said they would add more addresses if they found them.

The DC Mart chain: in early July 2026 a traveler found one of its stores and noted that it was a different branch from the one shown on the maps. Her impression was that the chain was still opening new locations, which is why maps showed only one store at the time.
