How much does it cost to eat out in Phu Quoc, and what food budget should travelers plan?

One reported option for a substantial meal is a buffet costing about RUB 1,000, with a broad selection of dishes. It was not described as a luxury buffet, but was considered very good value for the price.

For seafood lovers, there are reportedly all-you-can-eat cafés at around RUB 3,000 per person, including lobster and spiny lobster. At regular venues, a pair of shrimp or crabs was reported at roughly RUB 600–800, while sea urchins and mussels could cost up to RUB 200.

A VND 250,000 dish was described as restaurant pricing rather than snack-bar pricing. The highest oyster price mentioned in the report was VND 200,000 for 10 oysters.

Pho bo typically costs around VND 90,000–100,000; VND 60,000 versions can also be found, but were rated noticeably worse for taste. Places with very large, shareable portions were noted along the road from Sunset Town toward Khem.

One recent report suggests budgeting up to about RUB 1,000 per person per day for food. Cafés were not considered especially cheap overall, although beer was mentioned at roughly RUB 40.

A recent traveler report says cafés in Phu Quoc can be very affordable, with simple meals starting at around 150 RUB. In their experience, food was not the main expense during the trip.

A group of three travelers managed on about $1,300 for 13 days while eating at cafés twice a day. That total also included taxis around the island, the cable car, a Starfish Beach excursion, and other expenses, which suggests the food portion itself was fairly reasonable.

Another traveler also confirms that food in Phu Quoc can fit a low budget: if you skip tours and extra activities, day-to-day spending stays modest, and eating at local cafés is one of the cheaper parts of the trip.

Opinions on drinks are more cautious: coffee was described as acceptable but overpriced, while some travelers do not recommend buying tea at all, complaining about weak quality and poor brewing.
