Compared to Ho Chi Minh City, grocery and restaurant prices in Phu Quoc are roughly the same, sometimes even lower — the idea that the island is pricier doesn't hold up. Versus Da Nang it's mixed: some things cheaper, some pricier. Interestingly, for some product categories the island actually offers a wider selection. The key is knowing specific spots — then you can find options ranging from very cheap to mid-range to upscale, just like on the mainland.
