TL;DR
At Safir Dahab, guests checking out late may have their wristbands removed and be asked either to pay for another night or leave the property. For just a few extra hours, booking a room at a nearby hotel can sometimes be cheaper.
After checkout, luggage can be left in one of two storage rooms by the old reception. Two to three hours before the transfer, reception can provide a key to a changing room with a shower; one guest reports being able to wait for the transfer at the beach, bars, or dining area.
When changing rooms within the same hotel, do not assume you can remain on the property after checking out of the original room: Safir Dahab may require an additional night to be booked.
Recent guest experience suggests Safir Dahab follows a firm rule: either pay for one more night or check out. Staying for three or four extra hours without payment is not guaranteed.
Wristbands may be removed at standard checkout, so access to hotel facilities and meals, including lunch, may no longer be available before the next check-in. Arrange late checkout in advance or compare the cost of a nearby hotel room for a few hours.
