Can you shower and change at an Egypt hotel after late checkout?

After wristbands were removed at noon and a lunch voucher issued (never checked), guests grabbed towel cards before 6pm at the loungers and showered in the hotel spa with no prior booking needed. Security at the exit only verbally asked about checkout, no ID or paperwork checked.

Asked at reception for a room to shower before departure — no issues, they gave one immediately. Towels after checkout are available against a passport deposit.

The hotel spa does not allow walk-in showers after checkout — prior arrangement is required. Other hotels in Egypt may be more flexible.

The gate agent suggested changing in the airport bathroom and said the spa was off-limits. Reception was the right place to ask — they provided a room for an hour before the evening flight.
