Can you use a neighboring hotel's beach in Egypt (beach hopping tips)?

TL;DR

Hotel beaches in Egypt are technically restricted to guests, but lifeguards often turn a blind eye — especially if you come with a guest. You may occasionally be asked to leave.

Guests from one resort visited the neighboring Barcelo beach daily after befriending a guest there. The staff offered water and kids ran onto the property to rinse off with fresh water. The lifeguard noticed but said nothing — only on the last day did a younger guard ask them to leave.

In the main building (room 1246), furniture is dated but functional. The fixed shower head is awkward but manageable. Side sea view. It's a 2-minute walk to the beach — easy on foot, but the resort buggy is handy on the way back in the heat.

After complaining about a noisy AC in a standard sea-view room near reception, the hotel sent repairmen while guests were out. Due to the mess, a senior manager personally offered a room change — they ended up in a two-story building with direct beach access. Speaking English confidently and asserting your rights made a difference.
