TL;DR
At some Egyptian resorts (e.g. Dana and Leila) you can't extend your room past 2pm, but reception may give you a keycard to a different cleaned room just to shower before your flight — guests often find this system confusing.
On checkout day you can't extend your room (usually until 2pm max), but if you need to shower, reception gives you a keycard to a different already-cleaned room. This happened at Dana and Leila resorts — the logic is unclear since it would be simpler to just let guests stay in their original room.
Housekeeping quality was excellent — bedding was changed daily, towels were always plentiful, and any extra requests were fulfilled within seconds. Guests felt compelled to leave tips for the cleaning staff.
The in-room minibar was restocked daily on a regular basis, though the quality of items was average, nothing special.
