How to choose a hotel room with a balcony or terrace in Egypt?

TL;DR

In some hotels certain buildings (e.g. Block A) have no balconies at all — always check the building/block number and floor when booking; upper floors often have wider terraces.

On the first floor, garden-view rooms have a full balcony floor where you can put chairs and actually sit outside — but not all of them have a canopy over the balcony entrance, so it's worth checking when booking.

On the second floor, some rooms have a French/Juliet balcony instead of a real one (glazing only, no actual space to step out), which many guests find much less pleasant than the first-floor rooms.

Besides Block A, which has no balconies at all, ask the hotel directly which specific building and room number you'll get — not all blocks include balconies, so confirm this before booking.

Guests asked for exterior photos specifically of rooms with a balcony or terrace to get a real sense of the view and room placement before check-in.

If a room faces the exterior side (toward neighboring hotels), check in advance what that view actually looks like — not all exterior-facing views are pleasant.

The building also has a 4th floor — the 3rd and 4th floors connect via an inner courtyard. Rooms on the 3rd floor have a wide terrace in front of the balcony.

A standard room in Block 1 on the 2nd floor (corner room) with a view of Baron Street has no balcony, but is clean and fully functional.

In buildings 12, 13, 22 and 23 with garden views, first-floor balcony access isn't always direct — sometimes you can only reach the outside through an inner courtyard rather than straight from the balcony.
