TL;DR
Opinions vary: some love the ice cream with toppings and call it the best in Egypt, while one traveler's child had an allergic reaction (rash) to it. Plain ice cream without fruit fillings is often hard to find — in a 14-day trip a child got it only 2-3 times.
Traveling with a kid who loves ice cream, it was hard to find plain ice cream without fruit fillings, and the fruit-flavored versions weren't a hit. Over a 14-day trip in early June, the child had ice cream only about 3 times — for comparison, Turkish resorts offer plenty of ice cream several times a day.
Some travelers are wary of resort ice cream quality — one child had a rash the day after eating a familiar branded ice cream at a hotel in the Bestway/Bes-Way area, requiring a couple of days of antihistamines.
Another traveler had the opposite experience — calling their resort's ice cream the best in Egypt, especially loaded with toppings like nuts, sprinkles, chocolate 'pebbles,' and served alongside crepes.
