What documents does a child need to travel to Egypt?

The notarized consent and birth certificate are only needed for Russian border control at departure — Egyptian authorities on arrival don't check or require these documents.

A child traveling to Egypt needs a notarized parental consent (not a power of attorney) from the other parent, the original birth certificate with official stamp, and the child's international passport.

If a child travels with a father who is not listed on the birth certificate, a notarized consent from the mother is mandatory for departure.

A notarized consent from the father is not required by default — only if he has officially filed a travel ban for the child. This can be checked through Russian government services (Gosuslugi).
