TL;DR
All-inclusive food in Hurghada is generally repetitive but filling; Jungle Aqua Park and Grand Hotel get the best reviews for value, while Monte Carlo and especially Monte Mara Sunrise are considered overpriced for the food quality.
At Monte Carlo hotel you won't go hungry, but the food isn't tasty — the crab sticks are barely edible and the only decent breakfast option is the vegetable omelet. The à la carte restaurants help: the Chinese one was good, the Indian one has a strong spice smell that's not for everyone.
The Grand Hotel in Hurghada is significantly cheaper than Monte Carlo but in many ways the food was actually better — solid value for money.
Monte Mara Sunrise hotel is considered overpriced — the food and service level don't match what you pay for.
At one hotel the buffet gets repetitive after a few days, but you won't starve — there are seafood days, daytime barbecue, and a good snack bar. Evening entertainment includes fire shows and foam parties; reviews improved after the animation team changed.
Albatros hotel is a kids' paradise with waterslides and an aqua park, but the food is weak — no soup variety, the pancakes are undercooked every day, no scramble omelet at breakfast, and entertainment is almost nonexistent.
Jungle Aqua Park in Hurghada was preferred over Albatros specifically for its food, which was noticeably better.
