How to get from Sunny Days Resort in Hurghada to Gomla Market by local minibus?

A route with one change, suggested in August 2026: take any minibus to Sakkala Square. Walk about 15–20 metres ahead and diagonally to the left, then change to another minibus to Gomla Market. Each minibus costs EGP 5 per person, EGP 10 in total. According to the participant, the market is also within walking distance of Sakkala.

The second option: leave the hotel, cross the road and catch a minibus to El Mina Mosque. Get off at the roundabout, carefully cross the road and walk on the right-hand side of the mosque against the traffic, keeping to the left, until you reach the Marina. Walk through the Marina to the right to the far exit, then turn left and go to the end of the street, about 300 metres, and another 100 metres to the right — Gomla Market is there.

Getting back is harder, according to the same participant. Return to El Mina Mosque and walk left to the roundabout along the two-way road, keeping to the left: that is where minibuses towards the hotel start. If you lose your bearings, ask the driver 'Arabia?' and they will point you to the right one.

The whole way can be walked, but the participant warns there is a very dull stretch that is nicer to cover by minibus for EGP 5. The pavements in this area are poor, she says, so pedestrians often walk on the roadway — take care.
