What is the food and restaurant situation like at Beach Albatros Resort Hurghada?

One April guest (10-day stay) reported the fish restaurant had almost no fish available, with no red fish or squid served at all — contrasting with other reviews praising consistently good seafood.

Breakfast is currently served in both the main restaurant and Sky; Sky is notably quieter. Fresh juices include orange, mango, carrot, melon, strawberry, and guava, though the fruit selection is limited.

For lunch, in addition to the main restaurant and beach bar, a poolside outlet has opened serving burgers and shawarma.

Dinner is now available as a buffet in four restaurants: the main restaurant, Culina seafood restaurant, Sky Italian restaurant, and an Asian restaurant. Culina and the Italian Sky receive especially positive feedback.

The hotel has a well-regarded coffee shop with good coffee, pastries, and cakes.

The beach bar expanded its menu and now offers proper snacks, not just drinks. More ice cream varieties were added compared to before.

Only one restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch; two more open for dinner. There are queues but food is sufficient. The dining hall is very noisy. In 2023 all restaurants operated throughout the day — the current schedule is reduced.

The fish restaurant is the highlight of the hotel's dining. It serves red fish and shrimp and stands out clearly from the rest. Other restaurants offer a standard buffet with beef and chicken daily.

Alcohol selection is limited: only rum, beer, and wine are decent. Cocktails are poor quality. There is only one bar by the beach, with 15–20 minute queues especially in the evening as bartenders can't keep up.
