What's the food and ice cream like at all-inclusive resorts in Hurghada?

TL;DR
Free ice cream is usually available by the pool (unlimited, multiple flavors) and before dinner near the restaurant entrance, but the actual buffet food quality often disappoints — cold dishes, congealed fat, limited sauce and drink options.
There's a free ice cream machine by the pool daily with multiple flavors, plus ice cream with syrups before the main dinner restaurant entrance. A paid kiosk near the beach charges about $2, but the cone is tiny — not worth it.
Restaurant food quality is poor: a shared salad for 4 with odd sauces, "hot" dishes served cold with congealed fat, and only sugary juice drinks available. Waiters in orange shirts are slow, AC gets turned on only after repeated complaints, and there's no background music.
The pool snack bar often has long queues for fries and burgers; pizza was offered once and was very poor quality. Free ice cream at the main bar is served roughly from 3pm to 4pm and is tasty.
The pool in the hotel's relax zone is much quieter — no rowdy teenagers there compared to the main pool area.
