If the booking states specific check-in and checkout times — which, in his words, is more common for bookings made on Booking or at the hotel itself — those times apply. Check the exact terms of your own booking with the hotel or tour operator.

An option suggested in July 2026 for guests who really want to move and are ready to spend holiday time on it: ask for a room in a higher category. The surcharge is then calculated as the difference in room price multiplied by the number of nights.
