TL;DR
Based on recent feedback, standard resort à la carte dining may be disappointing for families: service can be slow and kids may find little to eat. A beachside fish and seafood dinner was reported at about $10–12 per person and was praised for being calmer and reasonably good.
There's a separate à la carte restaurant on the 3rd floor: it's stuffy inside, and despite arriving right at opening (7pm) the wait was long. Meat comes on a single shared plate for several guests, with a limited self-service side selection — not really tip-worthy.
Many guests aren't aware of the 2nd-floor à la carte option, so it's less crowded. Tip: avoid the peak 7:30–8pm slot — outside that window a free table is easy to find without any rush.
For families with children, the standard à la carte restaurant was not considered a good option: a large group was served only a few meat plates, most kids ended up eating only corn, and the meat itself was described as mediocre. The only memorable item was a slightly sweet meat pie available for self-service.
Some guests skipped their rooftop à la carte booking because they assumed kids would also have little to eat there and they might need to walk far afterward for a proper meal. In other words, families saw it as a risky dinner choice.
A fish and seafood dinner by the beach was reported at around $10–12 per person. The food quality was described as decent, and the main advantage was a relaxed seaside dinner without having to search for a free table or clean cutlery.
According to other guests, the second-floor à la carte restaurant was underwhelming, and the rooftop option was not a hit for everyone either. If you are traveling with children, it is worth checking the menu in advance because the kid-friendly choice may be limited.
