How to access Naama Bay beach without a hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh?

Once on Naama Bay beach, you can walk about 5 metres to the right to the adjacent Gafy section, where the water entry is reported to be good.

According to a traveler in August 2026, nobody stops you swimming in the sea off another beach section in Naama Bay — you will not be told to get out of the water. But you will not be allowed to leave your belongings on someone else's beach, even just on the sand.

At the paid beach, according to an August 2026 review, a sunbed is always included in the entry price, but towels are not provided at that beach, so bring your own.

You can leave the beach for the promenade, but according to a traveler in August 2026, guards generally do not welcome people coming onto the beach through other hotels' sections. It may work once, but you should not count on it as a regular route.

In late July 2026 a guest at a neighbouring hotel reported that non-guests were no longer being let onto Gafy beach in Naama Bay and worried that access to neighbouring beaches might be closed too. The situation can change, so do not rely on Gafy as an entry point without checking; in September 2026 other guests wrote that you could walk along the beach to Gafy from the adjacent section.

If you enter via the public beach and walk 3–5 minutes to the right along the shore, you can swim at the Novotel beach area: it has a gentle sandy entry and a reef with fish. However, non-guests cannot use the hotel’s sunbeds.

In Naama Bay, according to a July 2026 review, the water entry is gentle and sandy with no reef — you can even go in barefoot.

Another public beach option in Naama Bay is Ghadala beach — entry costs 100 EGP. It is a simple sandy beach with relatively calm water. Swimming toward the Novotel side offers good coral.

Access Naama Bay beach through the public beach in the center of the bay — entry costs 10 to 50 EGP (prices may vary). From there you can walk along the shore in either direction; the entire Naama Bay coastline is open except for the Swissôtel's private beach section.

You cannot access the beach directly from the Naama Bay promenade — you must enter through the paid public beach.

The best reef near Naama Bay is located by the Mövenpick hotel — it requires a long swim from the public beach. The rest of the Naama Bay shoreline is not particularly notable for snorkeling.

The Naama Bay shoreline is easy to explore on foot: in July 2026 travelers recalled walking along all the beaches in Naama Bay, unlike other areas without such a promenade. In late September Naama Bay was recommended for easy swimming with a child, as its beaches have had the reef cut back.
