How to access Naama Bay beach without a hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh?

At the paid beach, a sunbed is generally included in the admission price, but towels are not provided there, so bring your own.

You can leave the beach for the promenade, but guards generally do not approve of entering via another beach section. It may be tolerated once, but it is not a reliable option for regular access.

As of late July 2026, non-guests are not being admitted to Gafy Beach in Naama Bay, so do not rely on it as an access point to neighboring beaches.

If you enter via the public beach and walk 3–5 minutes to the right along the shore, you can swim at the Novotel beach area: it has a gentle sandy entry and a reef with fish. However, non-guests cannot use the hotel’s sunbeds.

The public beach in central Naama Bay has a gentle sandy entry into the water, so water shoes are not strictly necessary in the bay itself — though they are still recommended on the beach.

Another public beach option in Naama Bay is Ghadala beach — entry costs 100 EGP. It is a simple sandy beach with relatively calm water. Swimming toward the Novotel side offers good coral.

Access Naama Bay beach through the public beach in the center of the bay — entry costs 10 to 50 EGP (prices may vary). From there you can walk along the shore in either direction; the entire Naama Bay coastline is open except for the Swissôtel's private beach section.

You cannot access the beach directly from the Naama Bay promenade — you must enter through the paid public beach.

The best reef near Naama Bay is located by the Mövenpick hotel — it requires a long swim from the public beach. The rest of the Naama Bay shoreline is not particularly notable for snorkeling.
