TL;DR
Rooms are clean and guests sometimes get upgraded — e.g. a full terrace instead of a French balcony. Facilities include a waterpark, pools, a donut café, and Mövenpick ice cream. Mosquitoes are bad in the evenings — bring mosquito repellent plates.
A deluxe bungalow room (unit 907) came with a French balcony initially, but after requesting a change, staff switched it to a full balcony without any issues.
At check-in, instead of the booked French balcony room, guests received a room over 50 m² with a full terrace and pool view. A $20 tip was left for the upgrade. Rooms include shampoo, conditioner, lotion, robes, and slippers.
The adults-only (18+) pool building is quiet and well-maintained. The adjacent waterpark has safety rules — slides require a ring or mat. Pools are cleaned regularly, with soft, clean water and walls.
The hotel grounds have a Mövenpick ice cream stand and a donut café. Restaurant food is tasty and regularly replenished. Dishes, cutlery, and glasses are wiped before use. Drinks include draft and canned beer, Coke, Sprite, Fanta, and bottled water.
Tuk-tuks run to the beachfront. The first-line buildings are undergoing major renovation — lots of workers, construction, and dust, giving it a deserted feel. Naama Bay is about a 15-minute walk away.
Mosquitoes are plentiful outdoors in the evenings and get into rooms. The hotel provides a Fumitox plug-in, but it may not work well. It's recommended to bring your own mosquito repellent plates from home.
Near the hotel there is a Mango Market store, a pharmacy, and small shops. Rooms on the left side near the Coral Beach wall have good views — even with a building in front, the hillside location means the view from the balcony is unobstructed.
