Which hotel room is quieter in Sharm El Sheikh resorts — pool view or sea view?

Many resorts are built in a U-shape, and the inner courtyard is exactly where evening animation shows happen (kids' program then adults', about 2 hours). Rooms near the start of the building, close to the reception bar, are the loudest — even at midnight there's noise and singing. Rooms at the far end of the building are quieter, but you'll still hear pool music during the day when events run there, plus noise from ongoing construction on both sides of the property.

Based on staying in two rooms at the same resort during the same trip: the sea-view room was noisy because of a café right under the balcony, but only between 9-11pm. A pool-view room right across the hall barely picked up the same music at that time. With the balcony door closed (e.g. for AC), distant sounds from the Naama Bay nightlife area are rare and faint — comparable to noise levels at most other hotels in the area.

At a different resort during a previous trip, a pool-view room was noticeably quieter than this year's sea-view room: bar music from the reception area was barely audible with the balcony closed. The Naama Bay area gets lively in the evening and stays noisy until morning, so proximity to that strip and having a bar directly below your window are the main noise factors, not just which side of the hotel you're on.
