What is winter like in Batumi and what to wear?

No freezing temps, but weather is very changeable — pack everything from a light windbreaker to a warm down jacket.

Average winter temps are +10-12°C (50-54°F) with frequent rain. The worst part is a bitter, biting wind along the seaside promenade that can blow for weeks.

There was one unusually warm day up to +26°C (79°F), but after that it stayed below +15°C (59°F) all the way until May.

You can get through the whole winter in regular sneakers and a waterproof fall jacket; it also helps to have rubber boots or good quality leather boots for rainy days.
