TL;DR
You need both a valid lounge pass and access to the correct airport zone. An arrivals lounge may be inaccessible after leaving that area, while access to departures can be restricted until closer to your flight time.
During a long layover, check where the lounge is located: arrivals and post-security departures lounges serve separate passenger flows. Access to the departures lounge became possible after the boarding pass was issued.
A lounge entitlement alone may not be enough: the airport can deny entry to the departures area long before the flight. Plan to obtain your boarding pass and go airside once access is permitted.
Check the current terms for access through your bank card or lounge program before travelling. Some cards previously used a temporary charge that was later refunded, but card eligibility and rules can change.
