How to apply for Indonesia Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) online when traveling with family or a group, to avoid QR code and payment mix-ups?

If the online application or payment is stuck, a Visa on Arrival can be obtained directly at the airport: present your passport and pay in US dollars; the officer stamps the visa and gives change in dollars.

On arrival the order is: visa first, then passport/border control, then baggage claim, then QR code check (arrival card), and only after that customs.

The whole process is fully electronic: no payment receipt needed, only your flight ticket — the visa itself exists in the system linked to your passport.

Known system bug: if you fill one application for the whole family (checking 'no visa needed' and then paying for a visa at the end), you may receive only one QR code per submission even though payment is charged for everyone — and the visa check website shows no data. Be prepared to get the visa on arrival at the airport if this happens.

On the allindonesia site: after filling out the form and getting your main QR code, check the 'I need a visa' box — you'll be redirected to visa payment; once paid, both the visa and QR code arrive immediately, no photo upload required.

If traveling with multiple people, fill out a completely separate application and separate visa payment for EACH person, instead of adding family members into one form — otherwise you'll get a single QR code for the group but will only be able to pay for one visa.
