TL;DR
Petite Anse is in hilly terrain and hard to reach on foot due to steep climbs - better to drive. Other, more scenic beaches are also within a 15-30 minute drive.
Within a 15-30 minute drive from Petite Anse there are more scenic beaches worth checking out too, not just this one spot.
It's better to drive to Petite Anse - the terrain is hilly, and even someone who normally walks a lot (around 20,000 steps a day) found the walk tough because of the steep climbs. If you enjoy a challenging hike, walking there is still doable.
The tour price depends heavily on the format: a private car with a guide for a full day costs more than a group tour option.
