Is it worth visiting Silhouette Island and La Digue or is Mahé enough in Seychelles?

TL;DR
Mahé alone can keep you busy with boat trips and all main spots. Silhouette Island is a hidden gem closer than La Digue. La Digue is popular but somewhat overhyped — cycling there is not as unique as advertised.
Mahé alone offers enough to fill a trip — you can cover all the main spots and even rent a boat to explore the surrounding waters.
Silhouette Island is a stunning and largely overlooked destination — it's twice as close to Mahé as La Digue and arguably more beautiful. You can reach it by ferry.
La Digue is the classic first-timer route: ferry from Mahé to Praslin, then another ferry to La Digue. Cycling is heavily marketed there, but in reality it's a fairly ordinary activity — don't make it the centerpiece of your trip.
