Best Antalya neighborhoods for a stay with a baby: stroller-friendly walks, cafés and sports facilities

From messages by 3 participants in 3 sources · Last activity: 51 days ago

TL;DR

Konyaaltı, especially Hurma, Liman and Uncalı, is usually the most practical area for families with a stroller thanks to the seafront promenade, flatter streets and many cafés. Lara’s Fener and Şirinyalı areas are a quieter alternative; confirm lift access, a ramp and the exact distance to a padel court before booking.

What the community said

For a one-week stay with a six-month-old, Konyaaltı—particularly Liman or Hurma—is the most versatile choice. You have easy access to the long Konyaaltı Sahili promenade, supermarkets, cafés and newer apartment buildings with lifts; avoid properties high up the slope from the sea.

For a quieter residential feel, consider Lara’s Fener, Şirinyalı and Çağlayan neighborhoods. There are many cafés and shops around İsmet Gökşen Caddesi and the clifftop parks, but for stroller walks directly on the beach you will need to travel to Lara Plajı.

Uncalı is a good fit if you prefer newer apartment complexes, wider streets and proximity to 5M Migros. The Konyaaltı seafront is usually easier to reach by taxi or bus, but apartments are more likely to have a lift and more space than those in the old centre.

Kaleiçi and the historic centre are not ideal as a main base with a stroller: expect cobblestones, narrow lanes, steps and older buildings without lifts. It is great for a short visit to Hadrian’s Gate and the marina, but Konyaaltı or Lara is more practical for staying with a baby.
