Another report warns that even at a claimed 5-star hotel, service may fall short: no room cleaning for 2 consecutive days, no towel replacement for 6 days, no toothbrushes or toothpaste available, and the shop for essentials was open only until 22:00. Birthday recognition was offered only as a paid extra, mainly by pushing a cake purchase.

There is also the opposite experience: a small 2-star hotel in Antalya was praised by a repeat guest who has returned for 5 years in a row. Strong points mentioned were cleanliness, a quiet atmosphere without loud groups, no blasting music, and fresh Turkish food with different dishes every day.
