Is hotel WiFi reliable in Antalya, and should you get a local eSIM for internet?

TL;DR

Hotel WiFi quality in Antalya varies a lot by property, so many travelers get a local eSIM for reliable mobile data; note that Telegram can sometimes fail over mobile data/roaming even when the internet itself works fine — using a VPN usually fixes this.

WiFi quality in Antalya hotels is inconsistent — some travelers report good connection, others say it barely works, so it's worth checking recent reviews specifically about internet quality for your chosen hotel.

If hotel WiFi is weak, you can activate an eSIM with a data package — either online before the trip or on arrival at the airport / local carrier offices (Turkcell, Vodafone, Türk Telekom).

Telegram sometimes works fine over hotel WiFi but stops loading messages on mobile data/roaming, even though the rest of the internet works normally — turning on a VPN usually resolves this.
