TL;DR
For Turkish lokum with fillings (halva, pistachio), try the Afyon Lokum Atölyesi shop in Mall of Antalya. For şalgam (fermented black carrot juice), look for freshly poured versions rather than bottled ones — bottled brands vary a lot in taste and spiciness.
The Afyon Lokum Atölyesi shop in Mall of Antalya sells lokum with two fillings — semolina halva and pistachio. Both were good, kids preferred the pistachio version. It's traditionally very sweet and filling, worth trying at least once.
Şalgam is made from black carrot, bulgur and turnip — the taste resembles pickle brine and can be quite spicy. Bottled versions in stores vary a lot in quality, so it's an acquired taste and not everyone likes it right away.
The best şalgam wasn't from a bottle but freshly poured on the street — in Adana it's sold by the glass, similar to how kvass used to be sold. Store-bought bottled versions are often disappointing, especially the plastic-bottled ones.
