How can I request a room change in a Turkish resort if I am assigned a poor ground-floor room?

TL;DR
Floor requests made at booking are not always guaranteed, so report issues such as a bad view, odour or poor room condition immediately to reception or guest relations. Guests reported being moved from basement or first-floor rooms to a quieter, more comfortable room on the second floor.
If your Standard room is on the first floor facing a wall with little ventilation, do not stop after one visit to reception. Ask again for a move and clearly explain that the view and location are unacceptable for the booked room category.
For room issues, contact guest relations straight away: in one case they promptly arranged replacement bedding after dirty linen was found. After several moves, a second-floor room proved quiet, with neighbouring guests not audible inside the room.
A written pre-arrival request for the fourth or fifth floor may not be honoured: guests were assigned a foul-smelling first-floor room. Check the smell, view and condition before unpacking, then request an alternative immediately.
