TL;DR
Istanbul hotel buffets typically offer a wide variety including meat, fish, baklava, gözleme, and fast food. Watch out for inconsistent service and occasionally unwashed dishes.
Hotel buffet offered a solid variety: chicken, beef, fish, steamed dishes, and a wide dessert selection. Standouts were the baklava and freshly made gözleme. Fast food options like burgers, fries, and onion rings were available daily.
Two beach bars on site, with the upper bar offering full lunch service. The sea has a gentle entry slope and comfortable water temperature. Rooms are well-maintained with daily cleaning including balconies.
A notable downside: waitstaff appeared to prioritize European guests, with Russian-speaking visitors often last to receive drinks and table service — tips didn't change this. Staff in green shirts who spoke Russian were the exception and were genuinely helpful.
Plates at the buffet were sometimes not properly washed — guests had to go through several to find a clean one. Worth checking your dishes before use.
The lobby bar gets very crowded in the evenings with few free tables. The air conditioning was not working, making a long wait for a transfer (3pm to 9pm) very uncomfortable. Late checkout is nearly impossible as the hotel runs at full capacity.
If your Istanbul hotel has a rooftop terrace, make the most of it on a warm evening. A glass of chilled white wine with views over the Istanbul rooftops is one of the highlights of a stay in the city.
Beyond your hotel, Istanbul has excellent areas for sightseeing on foot: the historic Sultanahmet district with the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, the Bosphorus waterfront, and the Beyoğlu neighborhood with İstiklal Avenue.
