What is the food like at an all-inclusive hotel in Marmaris — meal times, menu variety, quality?

Based on 1 discussion with 10 participants · Last activity: 3 days ago

TL;DR

Food at this 4-star Marmaris hotel is solid: breakfast until 10:30, lunch until 14:30, dinner until 21:30. Expect soups, cheese, pancakes, desserts, and ice cream — decent variety throughout the day.

What the community said

One guest rated the overall food quality as mediocre: breakfasts are quite weak, lunch and dinner are somewhat better but still limited in variety and meat options. Fruits are good (similar to what's found in Russia), vegetables are decent. Alcohol quality is poor, and coffee/tea at the main restaurant are weak (a Starbucks-style cafe on site has better coffee, though still not comparable to Moscow quality). Local desserts served at dinner are very tasty. Overall verdict: you need to overlook quite a few things about the food here.

The dining hall isn't all spicy food — there are mild stewed dishes, pasta, mashed potatoes, stew, and soups available, plus fast food options; kids should find something to eat.

There's a separate beach restaurant that opens at 12:30 and operates by menu order — you sit down, order from a waiter, and wait (no self-service). Food quality is good: pizzas and burgers are excellent. The tuna sandwich is very large (about 20cm) — hard for three people to finish one portion. Alcohol on the beach is available from 10:00, with self-serve cocktails and beer in unlimited quantity.

If you're flying out early the next morning, you can ask the receptionist near the main restaurant entrance for disposable plates to pack a dry ration/snack pack. Disposable cups are also available at the buffet for taking extra items with you.

By the pool, the daytime snack service starts at about 11:20, typically offering fries, burgers, nuggets, and vegetables. This is useful if you eat breakfast early and want something before lunch.

Right at the start of lunch and dinner, there can sometimes be a line of around 15–20 people, but it usually clears by the middle of the service.

There is always a queue at the grill station at the start of dinner — the more popular the dish, the longer the line. Lamb neck is a standout item. Whole chicken pieces are rare; mostly bone-in parts (wings etc.) and bone-in skewers. Fish steaks are the best of the fish options. French fries are poor quality; no nuggets. Many processed meat products are on offer.

At breakfast, fried eggs and pancakes alternate every other day — you cannot have both on the same morning.

The menu rotates on roughly a weekly cycle — guests staying Monday to Sunday will see the full rotation repeat.

A grill is available at both lunch and dinner. Seafood is not served every evening — only on select days.

The snack bar is open until 16:00 and serves pizza, burgers, a shawarma-style wrap, and pancakes — a handy option between main meals.

Pastries at breakfast are limited — croissants appear only occasionally. The food overall is simple, home-style, and tasty, but don't expect seafood daily or premium cuts of beef.

During typical meal times (breakfast around 8:00, lunch around 13:00, dinner around 20:00) there are no queues, tables are available, and food is plentiful — no crowding observed.
