Which room type is best to book at a Marmaris resort — sea view or pool access?

In Building 9 opposite the restaurant, balconies may face the neighboring hotel, with only a partial sea view and evening music audible. It can work for guests who do not mind noise when the balcony door is closed.

Building 1 is a good choice if being close to the sea matters most, but nighttime entertainment from the neighboring hotel can be noisy. For a quieter stay, request the last building; there is also a building whose balconies face directly onto the beach.

One traveler noted that a relative had a newer sea-view room, but it had no balcony and the fridge barely cooled — though the hotel itself is very close to the sea.

Booking a 'sea view' room carries a risk of actually facing a construction site — Turkey has no quiet-hours law, so building work can go on around the clock. To guarantee a quiet room, some hotels will arrange it for an extra fee (around €50 at regular hotels, up to €100 at luxury ones).

In the 'Castle' building, top-floor rooms overlook the hotel and pool, have 3.5-metre ceilings, are very spacious, and thick double glazing blocks most outside noise.

Besides the main building, some villas also have a genuine sea view. To be sure of getting a sea-view room specifically in the main building, insist on the booking system marking it as 'Hotel seaview room' or 'main building', and have this stated in the voucher rather than relying on the generic 'standard' category.

Rooms in the main building facing the pool can be noisy in the mornings due to pool activity. If noise is a concern, it's worth requesting a room with windows facing the street instead.

The Annex building is separate from the main block and connected via a covered walkway that tends to be draughty. It is quieter in the evenings than the main building. The downside is noise from the waterpark directly below during the day, though evenings are calm. Occasional noise from the neighbouring hotel across the road is also possible.

Standard rooms typically don't have a direct sea view from the window — only a side angle from the balcony. A true sea-facing view is available only in family rooms, which cost significantly more.

The best buildings to book are the main reception block or the main restaurant building, located in the center of the resort. From here it's an easy walk to both the beach and the waterpark.

On the back side of the hotel there are rooms with direct pool access and a sea view — a good alternative if you want water nearby without paying the family room premium.

Rooms marketed as having a Lonisera-facing view are positioned as premium, but the adjacent building is very close on the other side and kitchen exhaust noise can be heard — worth keeping in mind when choosing.
